Rice Photo Gallery II A Drawing Contest: Students, Philippines, 2001
The Asia Rice Foundation co-sponsored an on-the-spot poster-making contest with the Mt. Makiling Chapter of the International Order of
DeMolay under the theme "Our responsibility as young Filipinos: Save rice fields and prove our love of
the country", on September 8, 2001. Twenty-three students from 12 high schools in Laguna, Philippines,
participated in the contest. Based on appropriateness to the theme (40%), thematic impact (30%), and visual impact (30%) as criteria, the judges chose
these three outstanding entries.
